Palace Nursery was started in 1979 by Frank Palacio Sr. As a steelworker at CF&I in Pueblo, Colorado, Frank spent his weekends transplanting trees from mountain ranches. As his family and side business grew, Frank decided to pursue his tree venture full time and purchased 20 acres of irrigated land on the St. Charles Mesa. After nearly a couple of decades in the county selling wholesale across the state, Frank and his wife Shirley moved their location to 1115 E. Holiday Dr. in Pueblo West, Colorado and began retail operations.  After Frank and Shirley’s retirement, Palace Nursery was passed on to their kids and grandkids where it is currently in operation today.
